U.S. agency advises Windows PC users remove Apple’s QuickTime

We just wanted to alert you: Reuters recently reported that the Department of Homeland Switch to Switch - Uninstall QuickTime for WindowsSecurity’s United States Computer Emergency Readiness Team (US-CERT) issued an alert on Thursday advising PC users to uninstall Apple Inc.’s QuickTime for Windows because of security vulnerabilities reported by Trend Micro Inc. The Trend Micro notification recommends a complete uninstall, noting Apple will no longer patch security holes in the software.

To uninstall QuickTime for Windows: Go to the Start icon, click on the Control Panel, then Programs, then Programs and Features. Select QuickTime, and then click Uninstall.
